Nea Community Learning Center, A Public Charter School (Grades K – 12).
The Nea Community Learning Center, now in its second year, located at 500 Pacific Ave., provides a unique public education for approximately 350 students in grades K-10 (expanding to grades 11 and 12 in future years), in a multi-age, multi-grade, self-directed learning environment.
The Center offers a core academic program utilizing integrated instruction, project-based learning and collaborative teamwork. It is supported by state-of-the art technology that is networked to allow students to access information from around the world.
We have openings in grades 6-10. All interested students entering these grades in the Fall of 2012 should apply as soon as possible for a random lottery for admission. (Alameda residents are given preference.)
